(1) The King George's Medical College and the Gandhi Memorial and Associated Hospitals (Taking Over) Act, 1983 is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal and any judgement decree or order of any Court, every appointment made, order issued, post created, action taken or thing done or purporting to have been done, issued, created, taken or made by the State Government or its officers under the repealed enactment shall be deemed to have been respectively made, issued, taken or done by officers or authority or other body of the University of Lucknow empowered by or under the Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act, 1973 to deal with such matters.
