(1) The District Plan shall include subjects enumerated in the United Provinces Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, and the Uttar Pradesh Kshettra Panchayats and Zila Panchayats Adhiniyam, 1961 for the rural area, or the Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1916 or the Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1959 for urban areas, as the case may be. (2) The district plan may also include such other matters as may be considered necessary by the Committee or as the State Government may, by order, direct.
