15. (1) The Registrar shall be whole-time officer of the University. (2) The Registrar shall be appointed by the Government on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed. (3)The Registrar shall have the power to authenticate records on behalf of the University. (4) The Registrar shall be responsible for the due custody of the records and the common seal of the University. He shall be the ex-officio Secretary of the Executive Council, Academic Council, Admission Committee, Disciplinary Committee for a teacher and of every Selection Committee for appointment and promotion of teachers of the University, and shall be bound to place before these authorities and the Vice-Chancellor all such informations required from time to time but he shall nor by virtue of this sub-section be entitled to vote. (5) The Registrar shall not be offered nor shall he accept any remuneration for any work in the University except in accordance with the order of the Government. (6) Duty Registrar (s) and Assistant Registrar (s) may be appointed to aid and assist the Registrar on the conditions prescribed under the Statutes, against the strength sanctioned by the Government.
