14. (1) The Vice-Chancellor, if he considers necessary, may appoint a Pro-Vice-Chancellor from amongst the Professor of the University. (2) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor appointed under sub-section (1) shall discharge the duties in addition to his duties as a Professor.br (3) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall hold office at the pleasure of the Vice-Chancellor.br (4) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall get a special allowance of such amount as may be determined by general or special orders by the Government.br (5) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall assist the Vice-Chancellor in respect of such matters as may be specified by the ViceChancellor in this behalf from time to time and shall preside over the meetings of the University in absence of the ViceChancellor and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be assigned or delegated to him by the ViceChancellor.br
