In this Act, unless the subject or context otherwise requires, (i) "State" means the State of Rajasthan as formed by section 10 of the States Reorganisation Act, 1956 (Central Act 37 of 1956); and (ii) "statutory" used with reference to a rule, regulation, notification, bye-law or order, means such rule, regulation, notification, bye-law or order made by a competent authority of the pre-reorganisation State of Rajasthan under any of the laws of the pre-reorganisation State of Rajasthan specified in the Schedule.
