(1) There will be Staff Councils at District/Unit levels for timely and effective grievance redressal. The same shall meet at least twice in a year. (2) There shall also be a State-level Staff Council for redressal of grievances which cannot be remedied at the level of District/Unit level Staff Councils. (3) In addition to the above mechanism, SP level officers shall hold Grievance Redressal Day once in a week, DIGs once in a month, IGPs/ADGs once in two months and DGP once in a quarter in their office chambers when any member of the Police Department including the ministerial staff can meet them for redressal of grievances. (4) The grievances that cannot be redressed by the said mechanism shall be forwarded to the State Government for remedial measures. (6) An analysis of the grievances, their causes and their impact on the morale and efficiency of the Police Service shall be carried out annually.
