(1) Any Mehwassi entitled to compensation under section 10 may make an application therefor to the Collector in the prescribed form, within prescribed period. (2) The Collector shall, after holding a formal inquiry, determine the amount of such compensation and the apportionment, if necessary, among the co-sharers entitled to it, and shall make an award accordingly.
