(1) The Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint an Overseeing Council for reviewing the work and performance of the Commission, for giving guidance and for providing policy guidelines for smooth and efficient functioning of the Commission. (2) The constitution of the Overseeing Council, its functions and duties shall be such as may be specified in such notification.
