(1) The investigating officer or any police officer or any person who has a knowledge that the witnesses are being physically protected, contravenes the provision of section 11, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or fine which may extend to five thousand rupees, or with both. (2) Any person who contravenes any order or direction issued by the Court under section 12, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or fine which may extend to five thousand rupees, or with both.
