(1) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, declare any area to be the control area, and may, by the same notification or by any other like notification, from time to time, appoint the date on which the provisions of this Act shall apply to such area or part thereof. (2) Before issuing any notification under sub-section (1), for declaring any area to be the control area, the State Government shall publish or cause to be published in the Official Gazette and in at least two newspapers having circulation in the proposed control area, a public notice of its intention to issue such notification in respect of an area described in such notice; and inviting objections or suggestions, in writing, within a period of not less than thirty days from the date of publication of such public notice in the Official Gazette. Any objections or suggestions which may be received in time shall be taken into consideration by the State Government. (3) A plan showing the boundaries of the control area shall be made available for inspection at such place as may be specified in the notification under sub-section (2).
