(1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Truck Terminal (Regulation of Location) Act, 1995. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra. (3) It shall come into force in the Bombay Metropolitan Region at once. It shall come into force in any other area on such date as the State Government may, by Notification in the Official Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different areas. (4) The provisions of this Act shall apply to control area or part thereof on the date appointed in the Notification under sub-section (1) of section 3; and different dates may be appointed for different control areas or different parts of a control area.
