(1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra State Public Services [Reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, De-notified Tribes (Vimukta Jatis), Nomadic Tribes, Special Backward Category and Other Backward Classes] Act, 2001. (2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Maharashtra. (3) It shall come into force on such1 date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
