(1) The Government shall by notification in the Official Gazette, establish for the purposes of this Act for the whole State, a Council to be called the Maharashtra State Council of Examinations. (2) The State Government may, likewise, by notification in the Official Gazette, establish a Regional Council, for any Region or for all the Regions under such name as may be specified in the notification.
