Save as otherwise expressly provided in this Act, the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (V of 1908), shall apply to all proceedings under this Chapter: 1[Provided that the Court may in a proper case and on such terms as may appear to it to be just, exercise its powers to add or strike out parties under rule 10 of Order I of the said Code in any proceeding pending before it under section 4 or 24 notwithstanding the fact that such addition, or striking out of parties is to be made after the date specified in section 4 or 24, as the case may be, has elapsed].
