(1) The University shall, establish within the University campus, all or any of the following schools and such other institutions and laboratories as it may deem fit :- (i) the School of Engineering and Technology; (ii) the School of Health Sciences; (iii) the School of Management Studies; (iv) the School of Applied Social Sciences; (v) the School of Marine Sciences; (vi) the School of Earth Sciences. (2) The University may, according to need, establish additional institutions for implementing its academic programme. (3) The University may, according to need, start additional training centres or close down either permanently or temporarily any of the training institution or classes under its control as it may consider appropriate. Outside the University campus the programme of the University may be conducted at such institutions or other places in any part of the University areas as the University may decide. (4) The University shall provide for undergraduate as well as postgraduate instruction and shall ensure for the economy and efficiency in teaching and research. (5) The post-graduate teaching and research shall, as far as possible, be conducted at the University schools only.
