56Distribution of revenues.

(1) The grants-in-aid under clause (1) of article 275 and the share of the taxes on income, the distributable Union duties of excise, the additional duties of excise on goods of special importance and estate duty payable to the State of Assam under the Constitution (Distribution of Revenues) Order, 1969, the Union Duties of Excise (Distribution) Act, 1962 (3 of 1962), the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 (58 of 1957) and the Estate Duty (Distribution) Act, 1962 (9 of 1962), shall be construed as from the appointed day, as payable to the State of Assam and the autonomous State of Meghalaya in such proportion as the President may, by order, determine.
(2) Every order made by the President under sub-section (1) shall be laid before Parliament as soon as may be after it is made.
