(1) This Act may be called the Tobacco Board
Act, 1975.
(2) It extends to the whole of India.
(3) It shall come into force on such date1
as the Central Government may, by notification in the
Official Gazette, appoint:
Provided that different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and for different
States or different parts thereof.

This Act has been extended to the States of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka in respect of ss. 10 and 11 and ss. 12, 14 and 15 in the whole of India.
