(1) This Act may be called the Territorial Waters, Continental
Shelf, Exclusive Economic Zone and Other Maritime Zones Act, 1976.
(2) Sections 5 and 7 shall come into force on such date1
or on such different dates as the Central
Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and the remaining provisions of this
Act shall come into force at once.
