The Sugarcane Act

1Short title, extent and commencement

(1) This Act may be called the Sugar-cane Act, 1934.

1[(2) It extends to the whole of India, except the 2[territories which, immediately before the 1st November, 1956, were comprised in Part B States].]

(3) This section shall come into force at once; the remaining sections of this Act shall come into force in any 3[State] on such date as the 4[State] Government may, by notification in the 5[Official Gazette], appoint in that behalf.
