1. (1) This Act, may be called the Uttar Pradesh Water Supply and Sewerage Act, 1975. (2) It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh excluding cantonment areas. (3) It shall come, into force on such date as the State Government may by notification in the Gazette appoint in that behalf, and different dates may be appointed in respect of different provisions.
