After section 39 of the principal Act, the following section shall be inserted, namely : “ 39-A- Tolls for amenities- The Authority shall be entitled to charge and collect, toll, for the use of approach roads and other amenities, at such rate and in such manner as may be notified by the State Government, from visitors, to such places of popular resort (including any ancient and historical monuments) within its development area as may be so notified: Provided that— (a) the rate of toll per visitor, shall not exceed rupees two ; (b) the State Government may by notification, exempt any class or classes of visitors from the payment of the toll and may fix any day or days on which no toll shall be chargeable."
