(1) The State Government may by notification make rules for carrying out the provisions of this Act. (2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing powers, such rules may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:― (a) Regulating the classes, ranks, grades, pay and remuneration of members of the Force and their conditions of service and recruitment in the Force; (b) regulating the powers and duties of members of the Force authorized to exercise any functions by or under this Act; (c) prescribing the manner in which induction and basic training and service specialized training is to be imparted; (d) prescribing the description and quantity of arms, accoutrements, clothing and other necessary articles; and vehicles, equipments and other necessary resources to be furnished to the members of the Force; (e) prescribing the places of residence of the members of the Force; (f) regulating the procedure of conducting enquiry, punishment and prescribing authorities to whom appeal may be preferred from orders of punishment and the procedure to be followed for the disposal of such appeal; (g) the manner in which and the fee on payment of which the security to be provided to private organizations.
