Summary

In this Adhiniyam, -- Definitions (a) “Academic Council” and “ Executive Council “ means respectively the Academic Council and Executive Council of the University; (b) “Affiliated college” means a college or institution affiliated to the University in accordance with the provisions of this Adhiniyam and the statutes. (c) “other backward classes of citizens” means the other backward classes of citizens specified in Schedule I to the Uttar Pradesh Public Services (Reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes) Act, 1994. (d) “Constituent College” means a college or institution maintained by the University or by the State Government and named as such by this Adhiniyam or the Statutes; (e) “Faculty” means a faculty of the University; (f) “Management’, in relation to an affiliated college, means the managing committee or other body charged with managing the affairs of the college and recognized as such by the University: Provided that in relation to any such college maintained by Municipality, the expression “management” means the education committee of such Municipality and the expression “Head of the Management” means the Chairman of such Committee: (g) “Municipality” means a municipality constituted under the Uttar Pradesh Municipality Act, 1916 or The Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act 1959, as the case may be; (h) “prescribed “ means prescribed by the statutes; (i) “Statutes” means Statutes of the University; (j) “Teacher” means a person employed for imparting instruction or guiding or conducting research in the University or an affiliated or constituent college and includes principal or director thereof; (k) “University” Means the Uttar Pradesh Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go- Anusandhan Sansthan established under this Adhiniyam.
