2. (1) The Uttar Pradesh (Nagar Kshettra) Bhumi Aur Bhawan Kar Adhiniyam, 1962, hereinafter referred to as the said Act, is hereby repealed with effect from the first day of April, 1967. (2) Without prejudice to the generality of the provision of section 6 of the U. P. General Clauses Act, 1904, such repeal shall not affect the continued exercise of the powers or jurisdiction of any authority under the said Act in respect of the assessment or realization of the tax levied thereunder for the period before the repeal.
