(1) Any person who willfully neglects or refuses to comply with any requisition lawfully made upon him under clause (a) or clause (b) or clause (c) of sub-section (1) or clause (a)or clause (b) or clause (c) of sub-section (4) of section 6 shall be liable to imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to six months, or fine, up to rupees one thousand, or both. (2) No proceedings under this section shall be instituted except on the written sanction of the Director. (3) before giving sanction under sub-section (2) the director shall call upon the person against whom the proceedings are to be instituted to show cause why the sanction should not be given. (4) No court inferior to that of a Magistrate of the first class shall try any offence under this Act.
