Where any notice used under any section of this Act or under any rule or bye-laws requires an act to be done, for which no time is fixed by such section or rule or bye-law, the notice shall specify a reasonable time for doing the same; and it shall rest with the court to determine whether the time so specified was a reasonable time within the meaning of this section.
