(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the powers, rights and functions of the Regional Electricity Board, the Central Electricity Authority, the Central Government and authorities other than the State Electricity Board and the State Government under the Indian Electricity Act, 1910 or the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948, or rules made thereunder shall remain unaffected and shall continue to be in force. (2) Nothing contained in this Act shall in relation to the inter State transmission of electricity apply to the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited or to licensees, generating companies, undertakings or other bodies owned or controlled by the Central Government. (3) All actions taken by the State Government or the Commission under the Central Act prior to the commencement of this Act shall be valid and enforceable notwithstanding that they are inconsistent with or contrary to the provisions of this Act.
