6.(1) The State Government shall, by notification, establish an Authority by the name of the Uttar Pradesh Disaster Management Authority with effect from such date as may be specified in the notification. (2) The Authority shall be a body corporate. (3) The headquarters of the Authority shall be at such place as the State Government may, by notification specify. (4) The Authority may, with the approval of the State Government, establish offices at such other places within or outside the State as the Authority thinks fit.
