(1) This Act may be called the U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953. (2) It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh. 1 [(3) This section shall come into force2 at once and the remainder of the Act shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf and different dates may be appointed for different parts of Uttar Pradesh. ]
