(1) The Government shall constitute a body to be known as the Uttar Pradesh Commission for Minorities to exercise the powers conferred on, and to perform the functions assigned to it, under this Act. 1[(2) The Commission shall consist of a Chairman six male members and two female Members from amongst minority.] Provided that five Members including the Chairman shall be from amongst the minority communities.
