(1) Every person referred to in the schedule shall, subject to the provisions hereinafter contained, and on payment of such fees as may be prescribed in this behalf by regulations made under section 34 (3) (b), be entitled to have his name entered in the register, of medical practitioners. (2) Provided that the Registrar shall refer to the Council any application for entry in the register from a person in respect of whom he considers that the Council may wish to proceed under section 26 (1). (3) Provided also that the Registrar, if so directed by the Council, shall refuse to register the name of any person who holds a medical degree, diploma, or certificate granted in any foreign county or British colony which does not recognize the medical degrees, diplomas or certificates of the Universities or 1[State Government] of 2[India].
18.
