2. (1) The United Provinces Badrinath (Sanitation and Improvement Act, 1945, hereinafter referred to as the said Act, is hereby repealed. (2) With effect from the date of commencement of this Act-` (a) all powers, functions and duties under the said Act of Shri Badrinath and Shri Kedarnath Temples Committee constituted under the Uttar Pradesh Shri Badrinath and Shri Kedarnath Temples Act, 1939 (hereinafter called the said Committee) shall stand transferred to and be exercised performed and discharged by the Notified Area Committee Badrinath Puri (hereinafter called the Notified Area Committee). (b) any right, privilege, obligation or liability acquired, accrued or incurred by the said Committee under or in pursuance of the provisions of the said Act shall be and be deemed to be transferred in the Notified Area Committee.
