(1) This Act may be called the United Provinces Fisheries Act, 1948. (2) It extends to the whole of the Uttar Pradesh. (3) This section shall come into force at once and the remaining sections will come into force on such date, for such period and in such areas as the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette specify in this behalf.
