Notwithstanding anything contained in the Uttar Pradesh Nagar Mahapalika Adhiniyam, 1959, the U. P. Municipalities Act, 1916, the U. P. Town Areas Act, 1914, the Uttar Pradesh Kshettra Samitis and Zila Parishads Adhiniyam, 1961, the U. P. Panchayat Raj Act, 1947 or in any other law relating to the composition of any local body, no office specified in section 3 of the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Prevention of Disqualification) Act, 1971, as amended from time to time, in so far as it is an office or place of profit under or in the gift or disposal of Government shall disqualify or be deemed ever to have disqualified the holder thereof for being chosen as or for being, member of any local body.
