In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Board" means the Board of Governors of the Institute; (b) Director means the Director of the Institute appointed under section 14; (c) "Employee" means any person appointed by the Institute and includes a teacher, a doctor or any other member of the staff of the Institute; (d) "Fund"means the Fund of the Institute maintained under section 28; (e) Institute means Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences established under section 3; (f) Prescribed means prescribed by regulations; (g) President means the President of the Institute referred to in section 12; (h) Regulations means the regulations of the Institute made under section 34; (i) Secretary/Principal Secretary means the Secretary or the Principal Secretary, as the case may be, of concerned department of Government of Uttar Pradesh dealing with the affairs of the Institute (j) Society means Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences ; Society, Lucknow registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860; (k) Teacher or Faculty-member means a Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor or a person employed or engaged by the Institute for imparting education or training or guiding or conducting research in the Institute and includes the Dean and the Director.
