Subject to the provisions of section 14, the cost of every survey made under this Act shall be met - (i) in case of an urban body in whose local area the survey is conducted, by such urban body; and (ii) in other cases by the State Government: Provided that in the cases covered by clause (i), the State Government may agree - (a) to pay a portion of such cost out of Consolidated Fund of the State, or (b) to advance loan to the urban body for meeting such cost upon such terms and conditions as may be mutually agreed upon.
