(1) The Court of Wards may, appoint guardians for the care of the persons of such wards as, are minors or of unsound mind or suffering from any physical or mental defect or infirmity, and may, control and remove such guardians and no appointment of a guardian, for any ward, shall be valid unless and until it has been confirmed by the Court of Wards. (2) In appointing a guardian under this section the Court of Wards shall be guided by the provisions of section 17 of the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890.
