(1) This Act may be called the Meghalaya Private Universities (Regulation of Establishment and Maintenance of Standards) Act, (2) It shall apply to all private universities established by orincorporated under a State Act and opened in Meghalaya in collaboration with foreign University, formal and non-formal or distance education made by private universities.(3) It shall come into force with effect from the date of notification.
