In this Act. (a) Act means the Employees State Insurance Extension to the Tribal Areas of Meghalaya) Act, 1998. (b) EISA means the Employees State Insurance Act, 1984 (Central Act 34 of 1948) and. (c) Tribal Areas means the areas in Meghalaya as specified in Part II of the Table appended to paragraph 20 of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution of India.
