(1) The acquisition of any land by the State Government for the purposes of this Act shall be deemed to be a public purpose. (2) The provisions of Chapter VIII of 1[the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority Act, 1974 (Mah. IV of 1975)] shall mutatis mutandis, apply in relation to the acquisition of any land for the purposes of this Act, as they apply in relation to the acquisition of land by the State Government for the purposes of that Act.
<span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>1</i>) The acquisition of any land by the State Government for the purposes of this Act shall be deemed to be a public purpose.<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>2</i>) The provisions of Chapter VIII of <sup>1</sup>[the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority Act, 1974 (Mah.
