(1) The Authority may, with the previous approval of the State Government make regulations consistent with this Act and the rules made thereunder, for all or any of the matters to be provided under this Act by regulations and generally for all other matters for which provision is, in the opinion of the Authority, necessary for the exercise of its powers and the discharge of its functions under this Act. (2) Pending making of the regulations by the Authority with the approval of the State Government, the rules and procedures followed by the Water Resources Department shall, mutatis mutandis, be followed by the Authority for carrying out its functions.
