(1) The Authority shall carry out a special responsibility in regard to the Districts and Regions, affected by backlog, in irrigation sector as per Governor's directives. (2) For implementing the Governor's directives, the Authority shall ensure that the manpower available with the Water Resources Department of the Government is used for survey, planning and detailed design of the projects in backlog affected areas and new projects are available for construction in time, for removal of backlog.
