(1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority, Act, 2005. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra. (3) It shall come into force on such date1 as the State Government may, by notification in Official Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different areas and for different sections of this Act.
