In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Station Officer" means the Police Officer in charge of the police station within the limits of which the village for which Police-patil is appointed is situated ; (b) "village" shall have the meaning assigned to it in the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 (Mah. XLI of 1966).
