In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Commission" means the Maharashtra State Commission for Women constituted under section 3 ; (b) "Director General of Police" means the Director General of Police, Maharashtra State ; (c) "member" means a member of the Commission and include the Chairperson and the Member-Secretary; (d) "National Commission for Women" means the National Commission for Women constituted under section 3 of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 (20 of 1990) ; (e) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act ; (f) "women" includes female-child or adolescent girl.
