1[(1) The State Government or the Slum Rehabilitation Authority may appoint such officers and servants subordinate to the Chief Executive Officer as it considers necessary for the efficient performance of its duties and functions.] (2) The conditions of appointment and service of the Chief Executive Officer and his pay scale shall be such as may, by general or special order, be determined by the State Government. 2[(3) The conditions of appointment and service of officers and servants shall be such as may be laid down from time to time, by service rules or by regulations, as the case may be.] (4) Subject to the superintendence of the Slum Rehabilitation Authority, the Chief Executive Officer shall supervise and control all the officers and employees of the Slum Rehabilitation Authority.
