(1) The Vice-Chancellor may, on the recommendation of the Management Council, supported by a majority of not less than two-third of its members present at its meeting, such majority comprising not less than one-half of its members, remove the name of any person from the register of graduates for such period as the Vice-Chancellor thinks fit, for any of the reasons mentioned in sub-section (2) of section 131. (2) No action under this section shall be taken unless the person concerned is, as prescribed by the Statutes, given an opportunity of being heard in his defence.
