(1) The moneys in the Library Fund shall be utilized by the State Government for carrying out the purposes of this Act. (2) Without prejudice to the generality of sub-section (1), the moneys in the Library Fund may be utilized by the State Government to defray expenditure on the following :- (a) establishment, maintenance and development of public libraries; (b) compensatory allowances payable to members of the Council and of the Committee ; (c) grants-in-aid to public libraries and library associations recognised for the purpose by the Director of Libraries.
<span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>1</i>) The moneys in the Library Fund shall be utilized by the State Government for carrying out the purposes of this Act.<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>2</i>) Without prejudice to the generality of sub-section (<i>1</i>), the moneys in the Library Fund may be utilized by the State Government to defray expenditure on the following :-<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>a</i>) establishment, maintenance and development of public libraries;<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><i>(b)</i> compensatory allowances payable to members of the Council and of the Committee ;<br> <span style="margin-left:15px;"></span><span style="margin-left:15px;"></span>(<i>c</i>) grants-in-aid to public libraries and library associations recognised for the purpose by the Director of Libraries. <br>
