(1) The State Government may, after consultation with the Advisory Committee constituted under section 15, and, subject to the conditions of previous publication, by notification in the Official Gazette, make one or more Schemes for Security Guards, class or classes of Security Guards in one or more areas specified in the notification; and in like manner add to, amend or vary any Scheme or substitute another Scheme for any Scheme made by it : Provided that, no such notification shall come into force, unless a period of one month has expired from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. (2) The provisions of section 24 of the 1Bombay General Clauses Act, 1904 (Bom. I of 1904), shall apply to the exercise of the powers given by sub-section (1) as they apply to the exercise of the power given by a Maharashtra Act to make rules subject to the condition of previous publication.
