(1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Private Professional Educational Institutions (Reservation of seats for admission for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, De-notified Tribes (Vimukta Jatis), Nomadic Tribes and Other Backward Classes) Act, 2006. (2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Maharashtra. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 16th June 2006.
